Point-of-Sale Software Company Celebrates 30th Year
January 6th, 2015 (Huntersville, NC)– Andreoli & Associates, Inc. (A&A), cloud-based point-of-sale software developer, celebrates its 30th year of business in 2015.
The company started business in 1985 when the J.H. Heafner Tire Company, a leading regional wholesale tire distributor, decided to exit the retail point-of-sale software business previously started for their retail dealer clients. Mike Andreoli, who worked for Heafner at the time, was given the opportunity to continue with the software as an independent company.
“You could say that I was in the right place at the right time”, states Mike Andreoli, President of A&A. “It was a great opportunity and I remain appreciative of what Ann Gaither, Mr. Heafner’s daughter, and Bill Gaither, his grandson, afforded me.”
Over the past 29 years the company has transitioned from a DOS based platform to 100% of its clients running in the “cloud” today. The company was one of the first to offer point-of-sale software over the Internet starting in 2001. “We expected that dealers would be skeptical about running over the Internet.” Andreoli continues, “To our surprise, many of our clients who had been with us the longest were the early adopters, including Robbins Tire, Greenville, SC, our very first customer who remains a client today. Bobby Robbins and others trusted us with one of their most valuable assets; their data.”
The company attributes its longevity to its long standing consultative strategy. Andreoli added, “We have always endeavored to advise potential clients as though we worked for them.”
Asked about future, Andreoli offered, “We have never been better positioned to capitalize on opportunity. Our ‘cloud strategy’ has enabled us to be more efficient, improve customer service, and channel more revenue into product development. We have several major initiatives in the works and all indications are that 2015 could be our best year ever.”
The company stated that it is currently beta testing its own parts and labor system, which it claims will provide rapid access to multiple parts vendors and will rival the functionality of solutions costing thousands more. A completely revamped web site rolled out in December provides video overviews of the point-of-sale software, HITS BPOS. A FREE 30 Day trial of the software is available.
